5 helpful ways to overcome stress

In this fast pace life, everybody seems to be affected by stress. Being stressed at work place or home can affect physically as well as mentally. Leading to anxiety or depression, stress can be harmful in many ways.

To know how to overcome stress, you must know the reasons for stress.
Stress is mainly due to expectations. When the expectation or targeted results are not met, one feels stressed and irritated.

Though stress in its initial stages is mostly ignored, but in long run can lead to physical health problems like headaches, muscular tension and chronic fatigue.

The need of distressing is important as stress is a synonym for depleting physical and mental productivity.

Here are some simple methods to combat stress from your life-

1. Add humour to your life- "Laughter is the best medicine". Laugh and enjoy each and every moment of your life. The light heartedness will itself pave way for solutions, making all your tasks easy.

2. Get close to nature- We tend to forget the bounties of nature and get lost in monotonous machine world. However, true happiness and peace comes when we are close to Mother Nature. Plan a morning walk, go for adventure sport, practice gardening and trust me you will bloom like a flower in few days.


3. Change your outlook- Optimism is a key to success. Instead of cribbing over your inefficiency, think of ways of being more productive. And always remember "whenever you lose do not lose the lesson".

4. Exercise - Daily exercising will keep you physically and mentally fit. A healthy mind will always stay in a healthy body.


5. And last not the least love yourself; appreciate your talents and work on your weaknesses. Plan an hour at least for introspection and thank Him for blessing you.
